Comments from Shadow Communications Minister David Coleman on the PM’s announcement today on the (slow) take up of the School Student Broadband Initiative
Under Labor NBN prices are growing at a massive rate. Prices are up by as much as 14% since October last year.
Prices are increasing the most on popular plans used by 6 million families.
For the Prime Minister to be talking about free internet to only 15,000 families is a typically weak response to this huge problem. It’s also half of what he promised to deliver, at the election.
15,000 is about 1/400th of the number of families who have been slugged with big NBN prices increases since October.
Those 6 million families just get more and more cost-of-living pain from this Government.
