Construction has recently been completed on the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Uranus Road and Lang Street in Padstow.
David Coleman MP, Federal Member for Banks, announced that the Federal Government would provide $230,000 for an upgrade of the intersection as it was unsafe and in need of improvement.
“Issues with speeding and visibility have meant that a number of accidents have occurred at the intersection of Uranus Road and Lang Street,” Mr Coleman said.
“We committed to building a roundabout at this intersection in order to improve safety for local motorists and pedestrians. It’s great to see that work has now been completed on this important road safety project in Padstow.”
The upgraded intersection has also improved pedestrian access to Fox Reserve, which borders Uranus Road. The reserve contains a playground which is used by many local families.
