Nominations have opened for the 2021 Banks Volunteer of the Year Awards.
The Awards, which started in 2015, recognise community volunteers across the Banks electorate.
Local community organisations are encouraged to nominate people who
have made an exceptional contribution to the local area.
“Without volunteers, our community organisations could not exist. There are literally
thousands of people across our area who give their time to volunteer, and it’s very
important that they are recognised“. David Coleman, Federal Member for Banks
said.
Since 2015, more than 300 volunteers have been celebrated at the Awards. All
nominees are eligible for the major Award, the Banks Volunteer of the Year.
Rebecca Harrison of Peakhurst was named Banks Volunteer of the Year Award in
2020, in acknowledgement of her many years of work for Penshurst West Public
School P&C and Lugarno FC.
Nominations close Friday November 12. To make a nomination for the Awards, call 9771 3400.
