FUNDING COMMITTED TOWARDS NEW CRISIS ACCOMMODATION IN REVESBY

A re-elected Coalition Government will invest $250,000 towards the expansion of Biyani House.

Biyani House, based in Revesby, provides crisis accommodation shelters and transitional housing for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence or homelessness.

The funding will allow Biyani House to convert a large, unrenovated garage adjacent to its primary property into additional accommodation for women and their children.

“Biyani House provides vital services to women and children in crisis and this new funding will mean more support accommodation for more women and children in our area,” said David Coleman MP, Federal Member for Banks.

“This funding will allow the garage on the Biyani House property to be converted into accommodation for four women and six children, as well as install three to four ‘small homes.’ This reconfiguration will provide dignity, security, support and privacy to the families it accommodates.”
