DAVID ANNOUNCES $215,000 SECURITY GRANT FOR BEVERLY HILLS GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL

Federal Member for Banks, David Coleman MP, has welcomed a $215,000 grant for Beverly Hills Girls High School under the Australian Government’s Schools Security Programme.

Mr Coleman said that Beverly Hills Girls High School is one of 54 schools nation-wide to receive the funding that delivers on the Government’s promise to assist schools at risk of attack, harassment or violence caused by racial or religious intolerance.

“I was very happy to support Principal Colin Skene’s application for this important grant,” Mr Coleman said.

“The grant will allow for automated gates with video and audio interface that will be managed from the administration area of the school. There will be some CCTV cameras installed at strategic areas near school entrances.

“I am confident that this project will go towards significantly enhancing the security and safety of students and staff”.

Mr Skene said that he was pleased that the school was successful in receiving the funding.

“This grant will contribute significantly in ensuring the school remains a safe and secure setting for students and staff,” Mr Skene said.
