Mr David Coleman MP, Federal Member for Banks, has announced that the budget includes funding to progress the M5 on and off ramps project at Riverwood during the 2017/18 financial year.
When completed, the project will enable motorists to enter and exit the M5 on the Eastern side of the Belmore Road interchange.
The Federal Government has committed $15 million towards the project which has a total project value of $30 million.
“I have been campaigning in support of the Riverwood Ramps project for several years now. It is great to see funding which will advance the project being committed for this coming year.” Mr Coleman said.
“The Riverwood Ramps project will make life much easier for local residents who need to travel to the City,” said Mr Coleman.
