Lugarno’s Evatt Park is a special place for many families. However, the facilities at Evatt Park have been in need of a significant improvement, with the amenities blocks being more than 50 years old.
David Coleman, Federal Member for Banks, recently met with members of the Penshurst RSL Kookaburras Junior Rugby League Club to announce that if a Coalition Government was elected, $2.5 million would go towards a major upgrade of the sporting and recreation facilities at Evatt Park in Lugarno.
Hundreds of residents have supported David’s call for upgrades at Evatt Park, which would see major upgrades to the amenities blocks, upgraded play equipment and a project to resurface and reconfigure the sporting fields.
“Evatt Park is a unique place which is visited by hundreds of people to play league, union, cricket, t-ball and baseball,” David said.
“The facilities at Evatt Park have been in need of an upgrade for some time, and I’m pleased to have secured this commitment of funding to get this project done. Thank you to the many residents and sporting groups who have expressed their support for this project,” David said.
