David Coleman, the Federal Member for Banks, has announced that the Morrison Government has committed $12, 000 towards installing CCTV cameras at Chivers Hill shops in Lugarno.
If re-elected, the Government intends on helping contribute to the costs of fitting CCTV cameras, in order to improve safety and security at Lugarno’s Chivers Hill shops.
In welcoming the funding commitment, Mr Coleman said that the Government had listened to the concerns of local residents and is acting to address safety issues in Lugarno.
“Many local residents have raised the issue of safety at Lugarno shops with me,” Mr Coleman said. “That’s why as part of the Morrison Government, I have fought hard to tackle this issue through funding for the installation of CCTV cameras.”
“These cameras will play an important role in not only deterring crime, but will also assist in the investigation of potential offenders.”
The Morrison Government will work with Georges River Council on the implementation of this project.
Mr Coleman said that by paying down debt and growing the economy, the Morrison Government can afford to deliver funding for priorities in our local community.
