Over 400 people attended the inaugural Banks Moon Festival Celebration, hosted by the Federal Member for Banks, David Coleman MP, on Saturday.
“The Moon Festival is a very important time of the year for the Chinese community”, Mr Coleman said.
“It was my pleasure to host the Banks Moon Festival Celebration and to join in with the celebrations with so many local residents”.
The Minister for Communications, the Hon. Malcom Turnbull MP, was the Guest of Honour at the event.
“It was also good to have some great local performers involved in the celebration,” Mr Coleman said.
The Sydney Musicool Ensemble, the Chinese Academy of Culture and Asian Women at Work, entertained guests with musical performances.
