SMALL BUSINESS ADVISORY PROGRAMME HELPS BEVERLY HILLS COMPANY TO GROW

David Coleman MP, Federal Member for Banks, visited Abode Renovations in Beverly Hills to witness the positive impact federal funding is having on the business.

“It was great to visit Abode Renovations today and find out more about the recent success and growth of the business,” Mr Coleman said.

Abode Renovations is a building company that specialises in outdoor deck construction and kitchen and bathroom renovation. The business is owned by Mr Gordon Anderson, who started trading in 2008.

With assistance from Southern Sydney Business Enterprise Centre’s (BEC) federally funded small business programs, Abode Renovations has turned a bargain showroom business into a high-quality renovation centre.

“Abode has received more than $200,000 worth of staff training through AUS Industry’s Small Business Advisory Service Program”, Mr Coleman said.

“This has helped the business to expand from just two employees in 2008 to 13 today”.

“In the same period, annual business turnover has gone from $390,000 to more than $2 million”.

“The success of Abode Renovations serves as a positive example for other small businesses in the local area”.

“I am pleased that the Federal Government has provided funding to support BEC’s delivery of ongoing training and support services for local small business”.
