COLEMAN ANNOUNCES FEDERAL FUNDING FOR PADSTOW PARK PUBLIC SCHOOL

Federal Member for Banks, David Coleman MP, has announced that Padstow Park Public School P&C will receive funding from the Australian Government to assist with the installation of a community kitchen. Mr Coleman recommended the funding grant late last year.
Padstow Park Public School P&C will receive $5,000 under the Government’s Stronger Communities Programme. The funding will be used to install a kitchen at the school’s community hall.
“I am pleased that Padstow Park Public School was successful in receiving this funding”, Mr Coleman said.
“The funding will be used to install a ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ classroom to teach students how to cook”.
Mrs Wendy Lindsay, President of the Padstow Park Public School P&C said the ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ classroom will be used to encourage healthy nutrition and teach children the basics of cooking.
This funding will also assist several other community groups which use the community hall at Padstow Park Public School.
“The kitchen will provide the school and other community groups with an opportunity to use the kitchen for community events and fundraising work”, Mrs Lindsay said.
