PEAKHURST’S LOWER GANNONS PARK NEEDS IMPROVED LIGHTING

David Coleman MP, the Federal Member for Banks is calling on the Georges River Council to take action on the inadequate lighting at Lower Gannons Park in Peakhurst.

Many residents have raised their concerns with the lack of lighting at Gannons Park.

In 2020, David secured Federal funding to improve the lighting at upper Gannons Park. This project included the upgrade of the existing flood lights near the sporting fields.

While this was an important project that helped to support night sports at upper Gannons, better lighting is needed across Gannons Park to improve the safety of local residents.

“The safety of residents is a very important issue. The lighting at Gannons Park has been a concern for some time and Council needs to properly address this issue for the benefit of local residents,” David said.
